The IEAI is very excited to take part in the upcoming TUM Project Weeks where three courses related to IEAI Research Projects will be offered. “The Project Weeks create a framework in which students and lecturers work on innovative solutions to current problems across disciplines, curricula and locations.”
The IEAI’s AI for Extractive Industries project will use the AI-enabled tools developed in the project to introduce students to economic, environmental and societal impacts of mining and carry out a virtual role-play, multi-stakeholder negotiation process to resolve disagreements and compromise on the pathway to SDGs (and strategies on achieving them).
As part of the IEAI’s science communication project called MoralPLai, a course will be offered where students become part of the MoralPLai project, combining AI ethics with the method of research-based theater. Through this hands-on experience, they will gain knowledge about an innovative approach to research and science communication that focuses on AI systems and their impact on ethical decision-making.
Prof. Poquet’s LEAPS team and the IEAI’s AI Ethics Literacy in EdTech project team will offer a “Data Design Studio”. Here students will dive into the world of data-driven thinking and have the opportunity to select a real educational problem and to design and implement data flows for AI-powered EdTech that could tackle this problem.
