The IEAI co-hosted the 12th annual Forum for Humane Economic Order „Menschenwürdige Wirtschaftsordnung“ with the Academy for Political Education Tutzing on 6-7 March 2020. Set behind a stunning view of Lake Starnberg and the Alps, this year’s forum focused on the topic “Ethics in Artificial Intelligence.”

With over 60 participants and speakers from across Germany and Switzerland, topics ranged from ethics and autonomous driving, to the ethics of care robots and the use of AI for sustainability. The insightful lectures were followed by vibrant discussions from a very engaged audience that included students, local residents, academics, and media representatives. The IEAI was excited to have several speakers from TUM, and specifically our research projects, including Prof. Dr. Markus Lienkamp and Prof. Dr. Christoph Lütge, who lead the ANDRE Project and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Pfeffer, who is part of both the Online Firestorms and Resentment Propagation on Social Media and the Online-Offline Spillovers projects. Many of our affiliated researchers also attended, creating an excellent space for networking and exchange throughout the two-day forum.
