We are delighted to announce a new collaboration that marks the beginning of the next chapter of the MoralPLai Project. Together with the University of Bayreuth, Opferhilfe Oberfranken e.V. and Naturbühne Trebgast, the research-based theater play "The Third Voice" will be adapted into German and presented under the title "Die dritte Stimme".

From May 4–6th, 2026, the Future of Open Research: Reliable, Responsible, Equitable Conference (FOR2026) was held at the Technical University of Munich’s Institute for Advanced Studies (TUM-IAS) in Garching. The event brought together scholars, activists and policymakers to explore the evolving challenges of open research and to reflect on its future directions.

Over the past few weeks, the MoralPLai team has taken part in numerous exchanges, presentations and conference discussions in Vancouver, Essen, Eindhoven and Vienna, sparking engaging conversations about the value of theater, the ‘moral reasoning’ of large language models (LLMs), how to navigate contrasting research findings and trust in LLM-based conversational AI, particularly in psychotherapy.
