The DiVA research project was conducted by the Institute of Transport Research – DLR. The aim of the projects was to analyze the possible effects of automated and connected driving and develop a concept for social dialogue in the future.

Because of the potential of AI in significantly reducing the 1.3 million deaths and 25 million injuries occurring every year on the road, the objective of the Focus Group is to create an international harmonization on the definition of a minimal performance threshold for these AI systems.
