On the 27th of October 2022, Professor Mrinalini Kochupilai, guest professor working on AI ethics at the Future Lab AI4EO, conducted an Interview with the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of their funding for International Future Labs for Artificial Intelligence.
Prof. Kochupillai gave a presentation on September 24, 2021 at the University of Bonn. The presentation was part of the webinar on: Incentivizing conservation, research and innovation with agrobiodiversity: Can blockchain/DLT help overcome regulatory and market failures?

Prof. Dr. Kochupillai has moderated the expert panel on "Promoting Student Resilience in Universities: Solutions to the Mental Health Crisis" in the conference on "Changing Paradigms in a Pandemic World: How to Regain Trust - Health Happiness and Ethics".
Prof. Dr. Kochupillai presented her paper “Creating a Digital Marketplace for Agrobiodiversity and Plant Genetic Sequence Data: Legal and Ethical Considerations of an AI and Blackchain Based Solution” at the conference Towards Responsible Plant Data Linkage: Global Challenges for Food Security and Governance, hosted by the Alan Turing Institute and the University of Exeter on March 19th, 2021.
Prof. Dr. Mrinalini (Nalini) Kochupillai has joined as the first guest professor at the Future Lab, Artificial Intelligence for Earth Observations (AI4EO). She will be focusing on identifying and structuring ethical issues in the field of AI for Earth Observations.
The new Future Lab, AI4EO, is launching in May 2020 under TUM leadership and will be funded with up to 5 million Euros. In cooperation with the German Aerospace Center (DLR), among others, satellite data and Big Data analyses will be used to create models of global urbanization, food supplies and the management of natural disasters.
