On September 13th 2022, the Institute of Ethics in Artificial Intelligence (IEAI) organized a seminar on AI ethics for a delegation consisting of UK-based companies. Among the topics discussed were the application of ethical standards in the development of AI-driven health solutions and ethical questions pertaining to autonomous driving. Moreover, researchers of the institute shared insights on current projects including the establishment of an accountability framework for AI systems. After the presentations, there was time for a fruitful exchange on how to implement AI ethics in corporate practices and on the prospects of research collaboration between the UK and the EU in the fields of AI ethics.
The event was co-organized by the British Consulate-General Munich and UK Innovate.
