Charlotte Unruh gave a presentation on May 5, 2021 at the Event “Ethik-Konversationen”, which took place at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU). Charlotte presented her research for the project “A Human Preference Aware Optimization System” by discussing the role of AI in shaping the future of work.
In her presentation, Charlotte explained opportunities and the risks of the introduction of AI in the workplace. Furthermore, she discussed how AI is transforming the logistics processes by explaining the realistic role that AI plays in changing the future of work as opposed to the negative narrative present in the media of AI replacing human workforce.
This topic is very relevant for Charlotte’s research at the IEAI, where she focuses on capitalizing the opportunities of AI in improving the working environment in the industry, by enabling the employees to better serve the process. The project aims to develop a human preference-aware optimization system through the processing of data, which enables to assign tasks based on the employees preferences.
