Last week, the IEAI hosted a meeting with IEAI affiliate members at the IEAI office in Garching.
Prof. Dr. Christoph Lütge and Caitlin Corrigan introduced the IEAI and reported on achievements such as past speaker series and completed project highlights, as well as pointed towards future events such as the Responsible AI Forum in Singapore in 2023.
This was followed by short pitch presentations from representatives of each of the new IEAI research projects.
- Co-designing a Risk-Assessment Dashboard for AI Ethics Literacy in EdTech
- Ethics for the Smart City: Applied socio-technical frameworks to assess the implementation of AI-related solutions
- Idiomorphic AI: Emergent, Tailored, and Normative Behavior in Large Language Models
- MELISSA – Mobile Artificial Intelligence Solution for Diabetes Adaptive Care
- NLawP: Natural Language Processing and Legal Tech
- The Potential for AI in the Extractive Industries to Promote Multi-objective Optimization
- Towards an Accountability Framework for AI Systems
- Tradeable Mobility Credits: Addressing Ethical Concerns with Algorithm Transparency
- UTEM – Undistorted Technological Mediation, which aims to investigate the technological mediation of AI applications such as decision-support systems and to develop necessary mitigation strategies
At the end, everyone got together over coffee and snacks to discuss the research projects in more detail and connect. We are looking forward to the start of these new exciting projects and the continuation of our highly productive current projects.
