On December 10-11th, the World Summit AI was held in Qatar. The summit focused on AI and emerging technology – spotlighting the worldwide applications, risks, benefits and opportunities involved.
IEAI Director Christoph Lütge was invited to headline a panel discussion on “Navigating the Ethical Framework of AI”. The panel focused on the intricate tapestry of ethical challenges of AI, in view of autonomous decisions undertaken by machines setting new precedents in sectors from healthcare to homeland security. The discussion then centered around the question: “Does the potential for AI to drive unprecendented progress outweigh the ethical dilemmas it brings?”.
