The MoralPLai project revolves around research-based theatre, making collaboration with professionals in the field essential. With this in mind, the Project Lead of MoralPLai, Dr. Franziska Poszler, reached out to Professor George Belliveau, a leading figure in this discipline.

The MoralPLai project partners bring diverse perspectives: philosophical, technical and artistic, to shed light on the research topic, with each contributing valuable insights into the project's key areas. Meet Johannes Betz, Professor of Autonomous Vehicle Systems at the TUM School of Engineering and Design and read his reflections on the core research topics.

The year kicked off with a trip across the pond, where the Project Lead, Dr. Franziska Poszler, was invited to participate in the TECH ETHICS FORUM, organized by one of our funding partners, the Notre Dame–IBM Technology Ethics Lab.

The IEAI, with its project "MoralPLai: A Creative Method for Communicating and Co-shaping AI Ethics Research" has been selected as one of the 17 winning teams, which will collectively receive almost $1,000,000 in funding.

Anastasia Aritzi joined the Institute for Ethics in AI a few months after its launch and has worked as a Communication Consultant since spring 2020. Over the past four years, her responsibilities have included managing the IEAI's social media accounts, such as LinkedIn and Twitter/X, and contributing to the creation of key content, including Annual Reports, Research Briefs, and event summaries. She also played a crucial role in expanding the organization's network to over 25,000 followers.

The progress of the MoralPLai Project continues to accelerate, thanks also to the valuable contributions of our seven assisting students. Their research outcomes, creative insights and collaborative efforts are instrumental in advancing the project's implementation.
