The team of the research project “Consumer perception and acceptance of an AI-enabled recommender system” received the Best Poster Award at the TUM Research Fest for their research investigating the consumer’s perception and acceptance of recommender systems with nudges. Their research reinforced the ethical concerns arising with recommender systems as consumers either disregard or diminish the influence of choice environments in their choice outcomes.
