The AutoNomous DRiving Ethics (ANDRE) project was selected to be featured on the newly launched website as part of the “Pakt für Verkehrssicherheit” (Road Safety Pact), highlighting it as a significant research initiative that contributes to road safety.
The “Pakt für Verkehrssicherheit” is a collaborative initiative in Germany aimed at improving road safety. It was launched in 2021 during the 1st National Road Safety Conference. The main goal of the pact is to reduce the number of road traffic fatalities by 40% by 2030 and to significantly decrease the number of serious injuries in Germany.
To achieve this goal, the German Road Safety Council (DVR) supports the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) by bringing together various stakeholders, including government bodies, institutions, businesses, and civil society in order to share and implement successful approaches, ideas and safety measures. On their new website, the DVR, amongst others, collects successful projects and approaches in road safety.
